There are some friendships that feel more like family, and for us, that’s exactly how we feel about Laura + Juan. If you've been following us for a while, you’ve probably seen these two pop up on our feed before—and with good reason! Their love story is one we've been lucky enough to witness from the very beginning, and it’s one we continue to cherish.
Katrina first met Laura + Juan over twelve years ago while attending VanArts. It was there that these two began their journey together, and it wasn't long before their connection blossomed into something truly special. We still remember the day they started dating, and it was such a joy to see their relationship grow stronger with each passing year. So much so that when they decided to tie the knot seven years ago, Katrina was honored to be part of their wedding party. It was a beautiful day, full of love, laughter, tequila, and a promise of a lifetime together.
Fast forward to now, and Laura + Juan are celebrating 12 incredible years as a couple. When they mentioned they were passing through Skagit County on their way back to Vancouver, we knew we had to take the opportunity to snap some photos. Even if it was just a quick shoot, it was a moment to capture their enduring love and the deep connection they share.
There’s something truly special about photographing friends. There’s an ease and comfort that comes with knowing each other so well, and it shines through in every image. We don’t just see them as clients—we see them as part of our lives, and that makes each photo even more meaningful.
